\nEis que chegamos \u00e0 exata metade de Happy Sugar Life!<\/em>
\nLembro-me que algum de n\u00f3s (acho que foi o Diego) disse ter a impress\u00e3o de que o anime seguiria na vibe “vil\u00e3o da semana”. Bom, a essa altura do campeonato, acho que podemos ter certeza de que esse n\u00e3o foi o caso.
\nSim, tivemos um pequeno cadre de antagonistas, mas ele se manteve restrito ao longo desse primeiro arco. E hoje entendemos o porqu\u00ea: foi tudo uma escalada para mostrar como cada uma dessas pessoas est\u00e1 planejando agir contra a Satou – e pode, muito bem, conseguir.
\nNa semana passada est\u00e1vamos nos perguntando se o Tayou ou a Shouko seriam os arquitetos da derrocada da garota. Agora, a situa\u00e7\u00e3o me parece bem mais complicada. Qualquer um deles, mesmo personagens no “escanteio”, como o professor ou a (sumida) Sumire, podem empurrar o domin\u00f3 que levar\u00e1 tudo ao ch\u00e3o. Pois \u00e9 Satou. A realidade \u00e9 bem amarga!
\nBom, essa ao menos foi a minha leitura. E voc\u00eas, o que acharam?<\/li>\n
\nEu gostei bastante desse epis\u00f3dio, parece que paramos uma pouco com o “maluco” da semana, como bem apontou o Vinicius, as cartas est\u00e3o na mesa e os jogadores est\u00e3o fazendo suas jogadas.
\nGostei como cada personagem fez os seus movimentos no tabuleiro de Happy Sugar Life<\/em>. A Satou aproveitou o epis\u00f3dio para colocar o Tayou em cheque, pois claramente o seu convite para ver a Shio \u00e9 uma armadilha, e a Satou n\u00e3o pensar\u00e1 duas vezes antes de eliminar o doid\u00e3o.
\nS\u00f3 eu fiquei com um gosto “amargo” com o convite da Satou de levar a Shouko para sua casa e contar tudo? Para mim \u00e9 uma desculpa de poder mat\u00e1-la, pois duvido que ela realmente tenha confian\u00e7a em contar tudo para a sua amiga. Se for isso mesmo, Satou poder\u00e1 dar cabo de mais dois personagens em sequ\u00eancia.<\/li>\n
\nN\u00e3o d\u00e1 para manter uma vida est\u00e1vel e relativamente normal baseada em mentiras. E n\u00e3o d\u00e1 para sequestrar uma crian\u00e7a e viver com ela sem viver mentindo.
\nA metaestabilidade da vida da Satou est\u00e1 perto de chegar ao fim. Ela est\u00e1 cercada por todos os lados, e se a cena inicial do primeiro epis\u00f3dio \u00e9 uma pista de como ela ir\u00e1 sair disso, o progn\u00f3stico \u00e9 pessimista.<\/li>\n
\nO que eu tiro desse epis\u00f3dio \u00e9 que aparentemente n\u00e3o existe pol\u00edcia nesse mundo Digo, se a m\u00e3e da Shio tinha a coragem de fugir daquela casa, por que n\u00e3o ir at\u00e9 a pol\u00edcia?!
\nE se todo mundo naquela vizinhan\u00e7a sabia do pai abusivo, de novo: por que ningu\u00e9m foi at\u00e9 a pol\u00edcia? Aparentemente o pai n\u00e3o era ningu\u00e9m influente nem nada, s\u00f3 um beberr\u00e3o intimidador.
\nEu at\u00e9 posso entender isso como uma cr\u00edtica ao costume japon\u00eas de se manter fora da vida alheia, mas se for o caso \u00e9 s\u00f3 mais um item pra minha lista de motivos pelos quais o Jap\u00e3o mais parece uma distopia futurista \ud83d\ude1b
\nMas \u00e9, tirando esse “pequeno” detalhe, foi bom ver que agora o anime pretende assumir de vez uma narrativa mais cont\u00ednua, com alguns dos personagens que vimos at\u00e9 aqui agindo por conta pr\u00f3pria. N\u00e3o esperava que aquele professor fosse seguir sendo um personagem recorrente, por exemplo. E eu pergunto: ser\u00e1 que a Satou realmente matou a tia?<\/li>\n
\nEu pensei exatamente nisso! Maltratar o filho \u00e9 uma coisa. Mas arrancar suas unhas? Todas? S\u00f3 no mundo de Happy Sugar Life<\/em> para algu\u00e9m ver isso na rua e n\u00e3o chamar a pol\u00edcia.
\nO que torna a a\u00e7\u00e3o da m\u00e3e (e sim, agora sabemos que \u00e9 a m\u00e3e!) um tanto estranhas, n\u00e3o acham? Ser\u00e1 que a situa\u00e7\u00e3o justificava uma Escolha de Sofia (“salvando” a Shio para deixar o Asahi se ferrar)? E que papo foi aquele do “agora \u00e9 tarde demais”?<\/li>\n
\nAcho que Happy Sugar Life<\/em> se passa em um universo alternativo, semelhante ao nosso, onde tudo \u00e9 mais extremo e as coisas acontecem uma atr\u00e1s da outra e quase ningu\u00e9m se d\u00e1 conta<\/li>\n
\nEu acho que \u00e9 quase isso. \u00c9 uma vers\u00e3o, huh, surreal? Hiper-real? Enfim, voc\u00eas entenderam. Um espelho do nosso mundo em que essas pervers\u00f5es s\u00e3o potencializadas para o autor conseguir contar a sua hist\u00f3ria e transmitir a sua mensagem.<\/li>\n
\nEsse tipo de coisa me lembra a obra do Franz Kafka. Suas hist\u00f3rias geralmente s\u00e3o redu\u00e7\u00f5es ao absurdo da realidade, em que uma personagem se v\u00ea numa cilada absurda, agravada pela total indiferen\u00e7a daqueles ao redor.
\nN\u00e3o \u00e9 \u00e0 toa que o pai do Asahi ganhou o visual de um monstro de filme de terror. Por um momento, achei at\u00e9 que estivesse assistindo a uma esquete bem animada de Junji Ito “Collection”!

\nDiego, voc\u00ea geralmente torce o nariz para esse tipo de simbolismo. O que voc\u00ea pensa disso?<\/li>\n
\nPor incr\u00edvel que pare\u00e7a, eu gostei. Foi uma \u00f3tima maneira de transmitir o qu\u00e3o monstruoso o pai parecia para o Asahi. Um visual mais humano talvez n\u00e3o comunicasse t\u00e3o bem a vis\u00e3o do garoto.<\/li>\n
\nTem umas criaturas muito semelhantes em Ghost Hound.<\/em>
\nO curioso \u00e9 que o contexto \u00e9 minimamente parecido. Em Ghost Hound um “fantasma” desses \u00e9 usado para representar o sequestrador e abusador de duas crian\u00e7as (uma qual \u00e9 o protagonista).
\n
\nNas mem\u00f3rias das crian\u00e7as nunca se v\u00ea o rosto dele, sempre \u00e9 mostrado como essa criatura negra e gigante.<\/li>\n
\nEle apareceu como uma pessoa “normal” epis\u00f3dios atr\u00e1s, quando tivemos o primeiro vislumbre da casa da Shio.<\/li>\n
\nIsso me lembra um excelente comercial da ONG Fragile Childhood<\/a>. A vinheta mostra crian\u00e7as fazendo atividades familiares, visivelmente transtornadas pela presen\u00e7a dos pais. Quando a c\u00e2mera finalmente nos mostra o rosto dos progenitores, percebemos que eles s\u00e3o monstros.
\n
\nO clipe termina com a mensagem: “Como as crian\u00e7as nos v\u00eaem quando bebemos?” Nenhuma das viol\u00eancias do comercial chega perto do abuso do Asahi, claro. Mas \u00e9 prova de qu\u00e3o assustador e opressivo pais alco\u00f3latras s\u00e3o para os jovens.
\nOlha, eu preciso dizer que estou desapontado. Peguei esse anime esperando ver fa\u00edscas, mas eis que todos n\u00f3s estamos gostando!
\nPois bem, j\u00e1 estamos na metade, e acho que Happy Sugar Life<\/em> j\u00e1 mostrou a que veio. Vamos fazer um balan\u00e7o da s\u00e9rie at\u00e9 agora? O que voc\u00eas est\u00e3o achando? Bateu com suas expectativas?<\/li>\n
\nAcho que foi um pouco mais “burocr\u00e1tico” do que eu esperava, com os primeiros epis\u00f3dios estilo “monstro da semana” para apresentar os personagens, mas nada que tenha afetado meu entusiasmo.
\nA anima\u00e7\u00e3o n\u00e3o \u00e9 flu\u00edda como, por exemplo, foi Mahou Shoujo Site<\/em> na temporada passada, para ficar em animes de pessoas ferradas, mas Happy Sugar Life<\/em> compensa com simbolismo e fotografia, o que faz sentido para uma hist\u00f3ria que de fato tem menos a\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/li>\n
\nEu confesso que nem reparei na qualidade da anima\u00e7\u00e3o (o que, tratando-se de anima\u00e7\u00e3o, geralmente \u00e9 um mau sinal). Acredito que a dire\u00e7\u00e3o de arte conseguiu t\u00e3o bem passar um efeito “mang\u00e1” que \u00e0s vezes at\u00e9 me esque\u00e7o de que estou assistindo a algo cinematogr\u00e1fico.
\n\u00c9 a impress\u00e3o que me passou Kuzu no Honkai<\/em> umas temporadas atr\u00e1s. Ali\u00e1s, nem sei se j\u00e1 comentei aqui, mas acho que s\u00e9ries um tanto parecidas, apesar de terem pouqu\u00edssimo a ver uma com a outra.
\nAmbas se esfor\u00e7am para reproduzir o visual de seu material de origem, chegando at\u00e9 \u00e0quele velho h\u00e1bito japon\u00eas de “artificializar” propositalmente uma imagem colocando escrita por cima.
\nEu ainda tenho umas imagens de Kuzu no Honkai<\/em> na minha pasta de screenshots. Sempre que a acesso para pegar fotos para esses nossos artigos levo um susto. Por exemplo, vejam s\u00f3 essa tomada:

\nQue n\u00e3o \u00e9 de Happy Sugar Life<\/em>, mas bem poderia ser, pois o anime tem uma quase id\u00eantica:

\nBom, \u00e9 uma imagem relativamente comum nos animes – e uma bem no tipo que d\u00e1 um charme maior a essa m\u00eddia, j\u00e1 que reproduzir uma tomada do tipo no mundo real seria imensamente dif\u00edcil (se n\u00e3o imposs\u00edvel). \ud83d\ude1b
\nAgora, sobre o anime como um todo, vou dizer que ele me surpreendeu positivamente. Acho que nesse ponto todo mundo (leito incluso) conhece um pouco o meu gosto e minha “leve e pequena” desconfian\u00e7a para com animes… bom… edgy (na falta de termo melhor… ali\u00e1s, algu\u00e9m invente um termo melhor, por favor).
\nMas Happy Sugar Life<\/em> vem entrando uma hist\u00f3ria at\u00e9 que bem interessante de acompanhar, dada a explora\u00e7\u00e3o que faz do psicol\u00f3gico de seus personagens. Ela ainda me soa como demasiadamente negativa para eu conseguir levar a obra t\u00e3o a s\u00e9rio quanto ela quer ser levada, mas mesmo isso ao menos me garante algumas boas risadas nos momentos mais “trash” do anime <\/li>\n
\nEu n\u00e3o diria que \u00e9 um problema, mas \u00e9, sobre a “explora\u00e7\u00e3o demasiadamente negativa” que o Diego menciona, tenho que concordar, desde o come\u00e7o Happy Sugar Life<\/em> entrega uma mensagem terrivelmente pessimista.
\nKuzu no Honkai<\/em>, que o Vinicius citou, \u00e9 neutro – o que \u00e9 esperan\u00e7oso o suficiente para quem se identificar em alguma situa\u00e7\u00e3o daquele anime. Mahou Shoujo Site<\/em> \u00e9 inesperadamente positivo. Happy Sugar Life<\/em> assusta com qu\u00e3o negativo consegue ser. Nada tem solu\u00e7\u00e3o, est\u00e3o todos errados, o mundo \u00e9 horr\u00edvel, tudo vai piorar e nada est\u00e1 sob seu controle.<\/li>\n
\nEssa explora\u00e7\u00e3o cont\u00ednua da viol\u00eancia e do pior lado do ser humano \u00e9 muito intensa at\u00e9 para os meus padr\u00f5es, parece que estamos sempre em alguma correnteza perigosa, sem ao menos ter um momento de calmaria onde podemos relaxar ou ter esperan\u00e7a.
\nMas estou gostando bastante do anime mesmo assim, a trama \u00e9 suficientemente interessante e seus personagens suficientemente ricos, com personalidades bizarras e gostos piores ainda. A minha \u00fanica cr\u00edtica \u00e9 justamente a falta de uma m\u00ednima perspectiva at\u00e9 dessas piores facetas da humanidade.<\/li>\n
\nEu confesso que eu tamb\u00e9m me despeguei um pouco. Normalmente, teria receio de que alguma coisa ruim acontecesse \u00e0s personagens. Mas Happy Sugar Life<\/em> \u00e9 o lugar onde filho chora e a m\u00e3e n\u00e3o v\u00ea. N\u00e3o \u00e9 s\u00f3 a negatividade imperar; \u00e9 o fato de nos socar no est\u00f4mago logo de cara e n\u00e3o soltar. Agora, sinto que eu aceitaria tudo o que vier.
\nN\u00e3o sei se isso \u00e9 exatamente bom, mas devo reconhecer a ousadia de uma obra que se esfor\u00e7a para n\u00e3o ser emp\u00e1tica \u00e0s personagens. E que continua interessante (e humana) a despeito disso.
